Review: Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Hello all, so I have my first review on here for you all, and I'm excited to say it's for the imPRESS manicure press on nails.  Sounds like it's for little kids, right? But, believe it or not these bad boys are super adorable and natural looking, especially if you're in a rush, or just don't feel like painting your nails and going through the whole shpiel of waiting for them to dry, etc.
So... as far as designs go, they have a bunch of them. They have plain colors which range from around $5.99 and patterns for $7.99, not bad, right? I had the animal/snake print looking ones, which I was happy with.
I should probably mention that I received these complimentary from Influenster. I got them in my College VoxBox to test out, and let you guys know how I liked them! I was so excited when I saw these. But let me tell you a little more about them; number one: THEY DON'T DAMAGE YOUR NAILS. There is no glue involved and when I took mine off my nails were completely as they were before I applied them.  There was no peeling, and no breaking, and that was a plus for me, because nail glue is certainly no good for your nails.
As far as how long they last, for me... they lasted about 3-4 days and I had to replace a few of them.  It says that they're supposed to last for up to a week, but I'm not sure that'd be possible. I was on Thanksgiving break and wasn't working or anything. I wasn't doing much and they were still popping off, so that's pretty much my only complaint. But they do provide you with enough back ups in case a few of them do end up coming off.
Overall I really enjoyed trying these out.  I had always seen the commercials for them on TV and wanted to try them but just never did. I recommend them if you're in a rush or just need a pick me up.  They're really easy and end up looking really cute.

Hey guys, I've gotten really into taking surveys to review products lately, so I wanted to start reviewing new makeup products as well.
I know I haven't updated this blog in a hot minute, but I definitely plan on it more often. I want to make this blog somewhere you guys can come to get to know me, and get to know more about makeup.
I love letting people know about good new products so I'll use this for that as well... not just makeup related either! Keep your eyes peeled :)

Really on a whim nail art.

I was so insanely bored today so I decided to paint the old nails. I wanted to do something different. I grabbed a roll of tape and I did this.

Colors used:
OPI base coat
OPI "Kiss Me On My Two Lips"
Milani "Blackest Black"
China Glaze "Fairy Dust"
And of course...
Seche Vite

I actually hate the way this came out. It's kinda messy and the amount of time it took me I expected it to look better. Oh well !

Kisses xoxo,
Steph

NOTD: fishtail accent nail

So I saw this tutorial on missjenfabulous' YouTube channel also known as 'polishandpearls' (her blog) and I adored it so I tried it out! I only did an accent nail because due to the nature of my job my nails chip almost instantly. I'd cry if I put in all that work for such a short-lived mani. But I really do love the way it came out. It's so easy and you need ZERO tools; just your nail polish! If you like this I say give it a go.

Colors used:
OPI Natural Nail Base Coat (as always)
OPI Lu-certainly Look Marvelous
OPI Blue My Mind
Essie Bikini So Teeny
Seche Vite top coat

NOTD: OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?

Okay so tell me that just by looking at the bottle of this polish it'd be bright and vibrant and fun for summer. Think again. This is the most sheer OPI polish I have ever tried. I was digging through my collection trying to find something I don't use often and grabbed this. I'm pretty sure it's from the Texas collection from forever ago but I thought what the heck, why not. Because I had never even used it. I wish I hadn't. I had to use four coats. I repeat FOUR COATS. Considering it looks so opaque and fun in the bottle I was not impressed. Sigh...

Long time no blog!

I really want to start getting back into blogging. Expect a post tomorrow!
To be honest I forgot I even had this and barely have had time to film YouTube videos...
But I DEFINITELY want to get back into it :)

NOTW Using polishes for the first time

OPI base coat
OPI "It's Totally Fort Worth It"
OPI "Save Me"

Here I am again. As I predicted, tons of compliments on the 'Gone Gonzo' polish from my last post. NO CLUE why. It seriously looked like crap. I chose these two polishes because I have never used either of them til now. The one from the Texas collection has been sitting in my collection literally for over a year. I never even thought to use it, and I actually LOVE the way it looks. I had to use three coats because it was super sheer but the final product is amazing. I used 'Save Me' as an accent nail because I've been dying to use it, and here's the final result!

I do like the way they came out.

NOTW Sparkles, sparkles and... more sparkles!

OPI base coat
OPI "Gone Gonzo"
Seche Vite top coat

So, I have not painted my nails in probably almost a month. Guilty! I got this polish for Christmas in my stocking and from first glance it looks like this totally awesome opaque glitter that'll go on beautifully and you'll only need two coats.  Only in a perfect world! Wrong. I had to use four coats for this one, and it's still pretty sheer. I had already started so I just kept going due to laziness..

I have another glitter polish from the Muppets collection that I haven't tried yet, and I just bought "Save Me" from the Nicki Minaj collection today, so get ready for those! I'm really excited about the Nicki Minaj one, so I'll probably use that one first.

I guess these nails will just have to do for now. Usually even when my nails look this crappy, I still get compliments on them, so I'll take it!
